Here are a few things to keep you up to date and informed on what’s happening here at the Boys & Girls Club:
Learn to Run Program
In partnership with Chigamik and the Healthy Kids Community Challenge, The Boy & Girls Club will be offering a Learn to Run program beginning in April. Weekly sessions will help participants to develop their knowledge and skills on running techniques that will assist them in goal setting, pacing, lowering their injury risk as well as help participants to develop a strong and positive attitude towards being active. Upon completion of the 8-week session, participants will take part in Midland’s Butter Tart Trot 2.5km run for kids.
Learn to Run will take place on Tuesdays beginning Tuesday, April 19th from 4:30-5:30pm. The program is open to all boys and girls aged 6-12 in the community. Registration forms will be made available soon!
This month we not only have the return of our regular evening programs (all ages), but we also have our second month of Tween Night!! Tween nights are evenings specialized for those in grades 5-8. Evening programs are open to all members of the community whether you come to the Club or not. Members of the Boys & Girls Club are free, non-members are $5. Check out the calendar attached to see the programs we are offering this month. Please register early as there are only limited spots available for evening programs and spots fill fast!
