Summary: BGC North Simcoe is hiring dynamic, dedicated, responsible, and enthusiastic individuals for the position of March Break Camp Counsellor at both our Midland and Penetanguishene locations. Camp Counsellors are a key part of the camp team by planning and implementing camp activities for children and youth ages 4-11.

Over 17 years ago, dedicated and visionary community members recognized the need for quality programs and recreation opportunities for children and youth and opened what was then known as The Boys & Girls Club Midland Unit. Now known as BGC North Simcoe, we have grown to serve hundreds of children and youth from Midland, Penetanguishene, and surrounding areas in North Simcoe.
BGC North Simcoe is looking for an Executive Director to lead the organization alongside the Board of Directors. The Executive Director is responsible for the administration and execution of the Board of Director’s policy and administrative directives, for planning, organizing, coordinating, and managing the operation of the organization’s programs and services alongside the senior management team. The Executive Director will ensure that operations and services are compatible with pertinent legislation and are within the general parameters of the annual budget. This position requires the proven ability to work collaboratively with the community, partners, and donors to garner support and secure the resources essential to fulfilling our mission.
The ideal candidate will bring relevant leadership experience along with successful achievements in delivering community service programming. The Executive Director will manage a diverse and growing team of both full and part time employees. In addition to after school programming, BGC North Simcoe also offers day camps for PA days, Summer, and March Break, as well as virtual programming, food security assistance and mentoring opportunities in partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Simcoe. The successful candidate will be willing to positively engage with the community partners and be proactive in the operations and management of programs. The candidate will be responsible for enhancing new and current revenue streams and providing senior management oversight of key decisions and initiatives. They will have experience and a proven track record in areas of community engagement, finances, human resources, crisis management, and administration. With a personal commitment to the principals of diversity, equity, and inclusion, the successful candidate will value staff and community, and believe in cultivating strong cohesive and supportive environments. As leader of the organization, the Executive Director models and promotes excellence, accountability, quality, respect, transparency, collaboration, and empathy throughout the Club.
Salary: $28.85/hr
