Position Summary:
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Program Coordinator to join our team on a temporary full-time basis (37.5 hours per week). The Program Coordinator will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating engaging programs for children and youth, while ensuring a safe, supportive, and fun environment.
Applicants must be available to work from July 7 to August 22, 2025.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality programs that align with BGC North Simcoe’s mission and strategic priorities
- Supervise program staff, volunteers, and participants
- Communicate in a professional manner with parents/guardians
- Monitor and evaluate program outcomes and participant engagement
- Ensure programs meet safety, accessibility, and inclusion standards
- Assist with outreach and community engagement
- Support reporting and administrative tasks as required
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in Child and Youth Work, Recreation, Social Services, or a related field
- Experience planning and facilitating youth programs
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR certification is required
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Police Check
- Class G Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle is an asset
- HIGH FIVE® Certification is considered an asset
- Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset
Working Conditions:
- This position involves both indoor and outdoor work environments
- Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions, including heat, rain, and humidity
- Physical activity and extended periods of standing/walking are required
