Job Posting: Program Coordinator 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Plan and deliver high-quality programs that align with BGC North Simcoe’s mission and strategic priorities 

• Supervise program staff, volunteers, and participants 

• Communicate in a professional manner with parents/guardians 

• Monitor and evaluate program outcomes and participant engagement 

• Ensure programs meet safety, accessibility, and inclusion standards 

• Assist with outreach and community engagement 

• Support reporting and administrative tasks as required 

Qualifications: 

• Post-secondary education in Child and Youth Work, Recreation, Social Services, or a related field 

• Experience planning and facilitating youth programs 

• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills 

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment 

• Current Standard First Aid and CPR certification is required 

• Clear Vulnerable Sector Police Check 

• Class G Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle is an asset 

• HIGH FIVE® Certification is considered an asset 

• Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset 

Working Conditions: 

• This position involves both indoor and outdoor work environments 

• Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions, including heat, rain, and humidity 

• Physical activity and extended periods of standing/walking are required

• Required to work in compliance with the Ontario Health and Safety Act and all BGC North Simcoe’s policies and procedures.
